Sales can take place after the owner has left the home or while in residence.  We do our utmost in all cases to cause the least disruption possible and work within the guidelines set for us by our clients.

About Us

Bethesda Potomac Estate Sales was founded by Susan Willis, whose diverse professional background uniquely positions her to deliver highly organized and knowledgeable estate sale services. Prior to establishing the company, Susan built a successful career in public accounting and later served as a controller in the private sector, bringing strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and operational expertise to every sale. She holds a Master of Science in Accounting from Georgetown University and, in 2012, completed the master’s qualifying examination toward a Master of Science in the History of Decorative Arts at the Corcoran College of Art + Design, reflecting her deep appreciation for antiques, fine furnishings, and decorative arts. Susan and her husband reside in Bethesda, Maryland, and are the parents of four grown children. She now serves as a part-time consultant with the company while spending more time with her family.

Since May 2025, Eric and Terri have carried on the torch, continuing the legacy of Bethesda Potomac Estate Sales with the same experienced crew to ensure consistency in service and professionalism. Both are Certified Residential Appraisers since the early 2000s and hold certifications from the National Association of Estate Liquidators. They specialize in the appraisal of residential real estate across the full market spectrum, including small dwellings, multifamily properties, and high-value, multimillion-dollar homes, while also applying developed methodologies for personal property valuation to provide comprehensive estate assessments.

The team is supported by an experienced, conscientious, and courteous staff, including core members with degrees from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, many with specialized skills gained from antique boutiques and real estate staging companies, and others with in-depth knowledge of European and Latin American art and collectibles. Bethesda Potomac Estate Sales also partners with a wholesale jeweler who provides expert consultation on precious metals and fine jewelry, ensuring accurate appraisal and valuation of high-end items. This diverse expertise enables the company to manage estate sales of any size or scope with integrity, efficiency, and care.
